Jack's Pics

A Dallas Outside Hiker collects Southern Maiden Hair Fern to press and preserve on the hood of her car.....must have been mild outside that day huh? Cottonwood Creek has springs and seeps, which are microhabitats for ferns and their allies, the mosses. This fern find firmly and finally refutes one botanist's contention that the only native fern around these parts is the Limestone Adder's Tongue.
